Founded in 1986 and led by Artistic Director Emily Molnar, Ballet BC is an internationally acclaimed collaborative and interactive contemporary ballet company that is a leader and resource in the creation, production and education of contemporary ballet. Bold and innovative, our company’s distinctive style and approach has helped the company make a unique and valuable contribution to the development of dance and art. Ballet BC presents a diverse repertoire of Canadian and International contemporary ballet and is a hotbed for the creation and performance of new works.

DebbieLee Dance Company

Inspiring young and mature dancers with the art of classical and cultural performing dance arts. We are passionate and committed to higher dance education. By building a strong technical foundation and providing mentorship to creative individuals with progressive training in a safe and healthy environment, we can reach out to all ages and levels of dance from recreational to professional. Outreach & international exchange programs are available. The director, Debbie Lee has been a part of the performing dance arts & education for 30+ years. Goh Ballet Society

Established in 1978, the Goh Ballet Academy is an internationally renowned institute, recognized for its high caliber ballet training and performances, providing students with advanced knowledge to prepare them for a flourishing career in the field of dance.The Goh Ballet was founded by Choo Chiat Goh and Lin Yee Goh and is now under the direction of Chan Hon Goh, former Prima Ballerina of the National Ballet of Canada. The academy introduces new interpretations of classic full–length productions, nurtures and cultivates award–winning aspiring dancers and commissions new works.

Linda Arkelian

Linda Arkelian teaches Advanced Ballet/Pointe Class Saturdays 12-2pm. Open Contemporary Class Saturdays 3-4:30pm, Adult Beg. Ballet Class Tuesdays 7-8:30pm. Linda's dancing experience has been expansive and varied, having performed internationally with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Theatre Ballet of Canada, Anna Wyman Dance Theatre and the Judith Marcuse Dance Company. She was the recipient of a Canada Council grant in 1991. She is a Ballet Instructor at SFU and Lamondance. Linda is also an actor, artist and film maker. Her film collaborations with David Cooper have been screened internationally.

Pro Dance

Born in Bucharest, Ciprian's training began at age 10 at the State Ballet Academy of Bucharest. He studied with ballet masters from the renowned Vaganova School in Russia, Great Britain, and the United States. He was a soloist with the Romanian Opera from Bucharest and the Serbian Ballet Company from Novi Sad, and performed lead roles with famous ballets, touring over 25 countries. He worked at the State Ballet Academy of Bucharest as a Vaganova Teacher, and was appointed Regional ballet Coordinator for the SABIS System in the Middle East, teaching in the United Arab of Emirates and Quatar.

Vancouver Ballet Society

The Vancouver Ballet Society is a unique, non-profit organization committed to supporting and revitalizing dance through education and assistance. Founded in 1946 the VBS has been the only ‘umbrella’ dance organization in continuous operation in this province for over 60 years. VBS offers dance students exclusive Master Classes with some of Canada’s most prominent artists and companies, as well as a week long intensive workshop known as Spring Seminar, and scholarship funds. The Vancouver Ballet Society also publishes the acclaimed Dance International Magazine, which is distributed world wide!
