Kokoro Dance Theatre Society

Kokoro Dance is a butoh-based dance company formed in 1986 by Barbara Bourget and Jay Hirabayashi. Kokoro Dance has created over one hundred and ninety dance works, has presented over 1,000 performances across Canada, in the United States, and in Europe, and also produces the annual three week long Vancouver International Dance Festival (http://vidf.ca) every March.

pataSola dance

Founded in 2014 by co-artistic directors Salome Nieto and Eduardo Meneses, pataSola dance is a contemporary dance company with the mandate to integrate Latin American artists with those of other ethnic backgrounds. Highly influenced by "Realismo Magico" and Butoh, pataSola's style crosses the line between the material and spiritual worlds and strives to produce work that is challenging, provocative and innovative in content and presentation. pataSola dance's work has been presented in Central and South-America, Mexico, Canada and Thailand.
