SUMMARY:VDCM: Virginia Duivenvoorden + Kay Huang
DESCRIPTION:Tethered features three works by Virginia Duivenvoorden and Kay Huang which explore the invisible threads that connect us forward and pull us back. Kite is a solo performed with a length of tulle; Yellow is about namesake and cultural identity; and Crossing is a duet/dialogue between two artists at different stages of their career and lives exploring themes of generation and cultural differences. \nThis informal sharing of works- in-progress will include a talkback with members of the artistic team.

SUMMARY:Lee Su-Feh
DESCRIPTION:Touch Me Hold Me Let Me Go begins as a lecture and from there\, takes you into alternate spaces\, alternate bodies and alternate universes. Your host\, Lee Su-Feh shares their own journey as they guide you through this terrain; and along the way\, will sing and dance for you and with you. \nThis showing comes at the end of a technical residency with lighting designer James Proudfoot and stage manager Mandy Huang and is the latest iteration of a work that has been developing since 2018. It is part of a “long\, slow dance” between Su-Feh and a mask carved for her by Wuikinuxv/Klahoose artist Bracken Hanuse Corlett. \nRehearsals will also be open to public viewing June 14 & 15 at 5-7pm.

DESCRIPTION:doublevision is a contemporary dance duet and digital media performance that seeks to re-imagine the classical ballet pas de deux through physical reclamation and technological intervention\, using ballet choreography\, contact improv\, digital avatars\, and 3D scan technology. \nThis work is in-process. It is messy and curious\, and blooms from the friendship between collaborators Kait Ramsden and erψn temp3st. doublevision reimagines new ways of being together in love\, on and offline.
