DESCRIPTION:Sammy Chien and Caroline MacCaull co-run Chimerik 似不像\, an award-winning interdisciplinary art collective. We Were One is a movement and new media research project which investigates human connections and questions the prejudices we experience as a society. Through actively decolonizing and unfettering complex dialogues around model minority racism\, intersectional feminism and queerness\, the artists re-image and contemporize ancient architectures and practices (Qi Gong\, Energy Healing work\, Ancestral Rituals and Mediumship)\, in order to further understand the past and help us heal forward. \nIn this informal studio showing\, the artists will share and discuss work in progress.
