“De Ida Y Vuelta” features Kasandra “La China” & Mozaico Flamenco dancers in an extravaganza celebrating Spanish flamenco vignettes and songs influenced by Latin America in the “Sunday Salon Series” at the Anne MacDonald Studio, North Vancouver. When the Spanish toured Latin America, new song forms emerged, blending flamenco with the rhythms and flavours of Cuba, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico. OLE!
“De Ida Y Vuelta” features Mozaico Flamenco and bailaora, Kasandra “La China” in colourful, festive flamenco dance with live singer, guitarist and percussionist in an intimate environment at the Anne MacDonald Studio at the Presentation House Theatre in North Vancouver. Colourful ruffles, fluttering fans, silk shawls and the fiery footwork of flamenco all up close and personal! Flamenco comes from the sunny south of Spain, Andalucia, and this program of “De Ida Y Vuelta” showcases the influence of Latin America on Flamenco as we present Colombianas/Colombia, Rumba/Cuba, Vidalita/Argentina & many more songs from Mexico, Venuzuela and Spain! Mozaico Flamenco features the NEW Sunday Salon Series, bringing the best of BC’s extensive and finest talent in dance, song & guitar for the first two Sundays of the month for the remainder of the year.
