The Body Orchestra presents CONDUIT, an eclectic 60-minute show comprised of three contemporary dance works choreographed by Jenn Edwards, and performed by a cast of seven. Opening the show is Imposter Syndrome (Premiere), an uproarious, cathartic romp that puts self-doubt under the microscope. Next, Other Creatures (2017) is a quieter, more intellectual work exploring the Dystopian worlds created by Greek film director Yorgos Lanthimos. And closing the show is the title piece, Conduit (2016) a dreamy ride inspired by the movements of orchestral conductors.
The Body Orchestra is a collective of freelance dancers first formed in 2016 by Edwards along with choreographer Jennifer Aoki, who is dancing in this iteration of the show, as well as producing. This is their third Fringe appearance; they were in Calgary in 2017, and in Winnipeg last year, where they received a four-star review from the Winnipeg Free Press.
