Agasimbo is a traditional dance from the province of Makamba in the south of Burundi. Agasimbo used to be danced at the royal court of Buha in order to entertain the royal family. The dance is a little bit acrobatic; it requires physical strength and coordination from the performers. The performers will be divided in three groups. The first one will be singing, the second group will be performing and the last one will replace the second group progressively without losing the track of the dance.
