Are you passionate about the arts and interested in supporting your local dance community? Come join us and support BC dance as a volunteer! Volunteers have the opportunity to learn about exciting initiatives for dance, gain experience with a non-profit arts organization and make connections with artists and other arts advocates in the community.
A Dance Centre volunteer has great communication & organization skills, is punctual, responsible, reliable, engaged, friendly, and enjoys working with the public. Ideally, volunteers would be able to commit to a minimum 5 shifts during the season.

Performances and Events
- Box office
- Ushering
- Bartending
- Greeting public
- Providing information
- Poster and flier distribution
Evening, daytime, weekday and weekend options.
Ambassadors and Outreach
- Promote performances to specific communities eg seniors, students, etc.
- Leverage word of mouth, social media, other networks
- Poster & leaflet distribution
Development and Special Events
- Thank you calls to donors
- Office administration eg mailouts
- Special events: registration, ushering, set up and strike
