Following human journeys and the places they cross, Óró features street dancers from Dakar, Paris and Vancouver. They explore notions of shadow, identity and hope, telling a story beyond words.
Óró asks how dance can be a place of symbols and ideas, a trajectory from the individual to the collective. Khoudia’s discovery of Hip Hop goes back to her childhood, a time when it became a political and cultural force for Senegalese youth. She created Compagnie KHOR to connect the show on stage with actions anchored in real life and community.
