Two dance artists move on a dark stage. One is wearing a yellow t shirt and the other is wearing a green t shirt and has a high brown ponytail. A dance artist mid jump. Their hair is flying and their yellow shirt has sweat marks on it. There are other dance artists behind them. Two dance artists only slightly illuminated pose on a dark stage. They are standing with one leg slightly bent and arms extended downwards. Two dance artists move and twirl on a dark stage with only a small amount of light illuminating them. Their hair is in motion as they move and there is a small window behind them.

If You Could See Me Now

Incessant movement, propulsive music, stunning light: Dutch choreographer Arno Schuitemaker’s If You Could See Me Now is a mesmerising experience. Three powerful performers take a chilled-out club dance and reinvent it through constant movement, subtly shifting and transforming, and drawing on deep reserves of strength, endurance and concentration. From a meticulous build-up to its fracturing, the performance goes right to the core of the body and its response to change, and asks: how do we keep going?
