Meticulously crafted and suffused with musicality, Idan Cohen’s exquisite creations emerge from the intersection of opera, music, and contemporary dance. This performance will feature two works. About Time is a duet set to the haunting piano music of Philip Glass, a powerful response to a fractured world where the overwhelming flood of information becomes a vehicle for conflict rather than connection; it seeks a path towards human compassion and understanding. The program also includes a sneak peek of excerpts from Cohen’s new work in development Bach Dances, which reimagines Bach’s famous solo Cello Suites through dance.
This popular series offers informative and inspiring dance performances by BC companies and artists, highlighting a wide range of dance genres.
